More Tuesday Randomness

Guess who?

OK, there should be some rule that if you’re a hairy skinny white dude, you shouldn’t be shirtless next to Feli. It doesn’t work.

Thank you, Janko. You give the girls what they want. I salute you. However, did you really have to practice with Lames Blake? I mean it’s kind of a bonerkill.

Not to mention I had to pretend like I was taking some pics of Lames so I didn’t look like a total stalker. But I forgive you.

Poor Carlos. He had to withdraw, and he got attacked by kids before that. Yes, Tuesday was “Kids Day” or whatever. They were *everywhere.*  Honestly, kids should be banned from the tournament. Except for the ballkids, obvs.

Totally besties. In my mind. And that’s all that matters.

Why did he have to lose? FML. Honestly. To be a FrenchieKAD is to suffer.

I saw Vika practicing twice on Tuesday. Once with CanWoz and once with her hitting partner or whatever. She was really in a good mood, smiling, saying “nice shot” and other compliments to CanWoz.

I guess Miami holds good memories for her. Hope she wins again.

Of course randomness wouldn’t be randomness without a Mo sighting. I was walking out of the park to go home. Took the back way that passes Court 4 and there’s Mo’s head in my path, lol. He was rather randomly watching the Baltacha match on an outer court. I guess he’s a fan. And since he’s Mo, he couldn’t sit like everyone else. He had to stand. He’s that awesome.

All the pictures are Jills property. Don’t take any of them without her permission. Thanks.

You Better Not Fuck It Up, Rafa.

Yesterday at IW was a really good day if you were a Rafa fan. His draw got a lot easier. Some ppl are already giving him the title. I’m not one of those ppl. I believe in taking it one match at the time. There still dangerous players in the draw. Who really though that Fed was going to lose to Baggy? Some ppl where hopeful  *ahem* Jills. My point is that you never know with tennis; sometimes anything can happen. Anyway… now let’s see the results, shall we?

Rafa beat Tree in 3 sets, 75 36 63. It was the first time they played and I was frazzled to no end. Tree is like an improved version of Dr. Ivo. His serve is just as good, he has better ground strokes and volleys, and I would totally jump his bones because he’s hot. Both Rafa and Tree were playing great in that 1st set. Rafa had 0 UFEs, yes ZERO. Rafa was playing great; I totally thought he was going to win in straights with the way he was playing. Then he totally brainfarted DFing 2 straight times (those were his first UFEs), and Tree hit an awesome winner giving him BPs.  Of course Tree took the gift that Rafa was giving him. Then the set was pretty much over because, well, we all know how it is with big servers. Then, in the 3rd set, Tree began to tire. Rafa does that to you. Rafa broke him and held serve a couple of times. Rafa was really pumped. The End. FYI, Rafa and Marc! keep kicking ass in doubles. They won.

Now the reason why Rafa’s draw got a lot easier.

This guy lost. I’ve been saying that Nole was playing like shit the whole week. He lost to Mr. Clean,  75 63. Yes, he lost to Old Man Ljubicic of all ppl and in straights.  I just saw a little bit of the match because those fuckers at the IW organization decided that it was a great idea to put Nole and Rafa on at the same time. It seems Mr. Clean took a tennis viagra and if Nole was playing like he was playing in his 2 previous matches, I totally get the result.  I’m kind of worried for Serbia in DC, it’s going to be a really hard tie against the Croats. He lost to the oldest tennis player in Croatia, ffs. Moving on.

Berdy beat Vik, 61 63. He’s Rafa’s next opponent. I really don’t know what to think. I can’t say how he’s been playing from what I saw. Vik had played 1 game before this match. Enjoy the free points and easy money, Vik. I didn’t see the match with Nando but from reports it seems Nando was playing crappy. Rafa hasn’t lost to Berdy I think since 2006. Still frazzled. I’m a KAD what can I say?

Tommy beat Fed Killer Baggy in 3 sets, 75 06 64. That bagel totally has a explanation. It seems Tommy has a big tummy ache. He has “the runs” like some commie said. So he better drink a lot of Pepto Bismol before his next match. He has to play this guy:

Dick beat Melzer, 76(5) 64. He has been playing great. Fed is out of his quarter, no chance for another loss from Fed’s hands. So he must be super pumped. This is a golden opportunity for Dick.

Someone finally got rid of GarLo the bracket ruiner. That someone was Pico. I so want Pico to make the semis. Avenge Nole, Pico! He plays Mr. Clean next.

Sod beat Jo,  63 64. It seems Sod owns Jo’s ass and I really don’t get it. The match seem super fast. Sod just cruised. WTF Jo?

Sod plays Muzz next. He won by retirement against Judas, 62 10 ret.. It seems Judas has an ankle injury. Well at least Judas got rid of Blah. Now to the chicks.

There were only two WTA matches. Remember when I said that I thought Lena was going to to win IW?

Well of course she lost to ARad,64 63. Proving once again that you can’t trust Lena and that WTA predictions are useless. ARad hasn’t lost a set and she keeps being ignored.  Her next opponent?

Caro. She beat adorable Jie, 64 46 61. Can I get a moment of silence for my WTA tennis pool team? There’s a lot in line for Caro in the match against ARad. Not only would she make the final,  she would become World #2, her highest ranking to date. I love Kiri but it seems Stella McCartney made the right choice by dumping Kiri for Caro. Even if the clothes looked better on Kiri, ppl are finally seeing her designs.

Bloodbath

Yesterday was a dark day at IW. There was only a little bit of life and hope left. Some Serbs and a Spanish dude that I flove with all my heart had to something with that. Let’s see what happened. I will start like always with the good news.

Rafa cruised against Ancic winning, 62 62. Good to have Mario back and happy that he lost *Merciless KAD* Also good news; Rafa knows how fugly his shorts are and said that he will be only wearing them this week. Rafa, next time ask for a sample of the finished product, not just the sketches. Sometimes things on paper look better than in person, this is one of those cases.

The good news about Nole is that he won. The bad news, he keeps playing like shit. He beat Kohls 63 26 76(3). He saved like 3 MPs, not sure since I was totally frazzled and pissed. Nole save some of that shitty play if you play Rafa in the semis. Kthxbye.

I had to post this pic. I’m still cracking up, it’s just so JJ. Well she won, but she also played like shit. She beat Errani, 26 76(6) 64.  Her serve was crap, I know her serve is not the best but  this was too much. Where is her awesome backhand down the line? I think I saw it somewhere but it landed in the doubles alley.

Now to the bloodbath of players that I like or love. Here is the victims list.

Nando, Oh Nando. He got trashed by Berdy,60 63. Yep, that’s a bagel. WTF Nando? Sigh.

Vika WTF happened? Sigh. She lost to Martinez Sanchez in straights,76(4) 62.

Bella Flavi lost to Peer,64 67(4) 61. This one is more for Emma than for me.  Sorry, vitch.

Kim lost to Kleybs. Kleybs!!! It seems Klebs likes to beat nice girls that are slam champions. You’re not Ana, Kim!! The score 64 16 76(4) and that last set TB was a total WTF? I still don’t know what went on.

Juanqui lost to Pico,76(2) 36 63. I hate when players that I like meet so early at a tourney. I love Pico but I kind of love Juanqui more, it’s the Spanish thing. I’m okay with this loss. I will give a couple of reasons. Juanqui has won a couple of titles and Pico needed it more. The most important reason? We where left with this:

Hotness and eternally hard nipples. YUM!

Australian Open: Day 6

Even with the presence of Jo, Nando, Nole, “Hasi,” and Pico, things were pretty damn boring today at the AO. I tried to resist this sentiment, but in the end it was true. For starters, top seeds Fed, Venus, Serena and Caro all won in straights. And there were no upsets today at all.

The day started with WTA matches. Bepa handed a beatdown to Gisela, and with with that look of defeat, we were halfway to the bitchfest showdown that me and my friends were hoping for. All we needed was Vika to win her match.

And Vika did win, in impressive style, 6-0 6-2. So now we have the epic bitchfest match that was supposed to happen in Hong Kong but didn’t (because Bepa pulled out there). They’re both crazy, but Vika is awesome and Bepa still has that recurrring ankle problem, so I (being the expert that I am, of course) think Vika WILL DESTROY Bepa. Think, hope, same diff. Regardless, it’s win-win. If Vika wins, we can all have a good laugh and celebration. If Bepa wins, we have one more reason to dislike Bepa. And that’s fun too.

Nole seems to be picking up his game as the tournament goes on. I didn’t watch the match, but from what others were saying and the score itself (6-1 6-1 6-2), let’s just say I’m not so worried anymore. Nole plays Kubot next, who got a walkover when Youzhny withdrew with a wrist injury. I fully expect Nole to win this match, but I do like Kubot and I hope he doesn’t get demolished out there. Kubot is a top doubles player and has a great singles game as well; should be a “comfortable test” for Nole.

Pico vs Kolya was not a fun match to watch. Kolya pretty much rolled over Pico, winning 6-0, 6-3, 6-4. Apparently Pico doesn’t know how to play Playstation. Regardless, this was a good run for him considering he’s most comfortable on clay. And at least he’s out of the cheetah and into a shirt that looks fairly decent on him.

But damn, Kolya. He hasn’t even been tested yet, and I’m scared to death for Nando. If he beats Pico and Nando and loses to Fed, I won’t be a happy camper.

But NandoKADs do have some hope. 1) Nando’s been playing well the last 1 1/2 weeks, 2) Nando will be rested because he only had to play one set today, and 3) THE HAND is back! Well, at least it resembles the hand from last year. Nando needs to come into this match with the same intensity level than he had in last year’s 4th rd vs Muzz. I’m cautiously optimistic. Please, PLEASE, Nando. Shock us all and win.

Moving on. In the match that no one cared about, Nico Almagro beat Alejandro Falla in straight sets. With a broken bone in his left wrist. So yeah, get back to the gym, Alejandro. Jo should have no trouble taking Nico out in the next round, though. Jo-Nole quarterfinal is imminent.

And of course there were the evening matches. I think we all expected Lleyton-Marcos to go at least 4 sets and be very competitive and physical. Alas, Marcos experienced pain in his shoulder from the outset and was forced to retire.

As much as I love Marcos, this scenario is better than a Fed walkover next round or a tired Lleyton having no chance to beat Fed. Lleyton is going to need his rest to try to take out The Mighty Douche.

Yes, I realize Marcos was injured and making a lot of UFE’s which contributed to the bagel set. But that being said: I was still impressed with Lleyton’s gameplan, intensity and movement. Credit where it’s due. In Lleyton’s last meeting with Fed at the 2009 USO, Lleyton took the first set and played a tight match. There are three variables that can sway the match in Lleyton’s favor this time: 1) the extra rest from having to play only 12 games today, 2) the Aussie crowd will be behind him and 3) Lleyton will want to become part of the “Fed’s Bitchboy No Longer” Club, led by Robin Bo Carl and Kolya. C’mon Lleyton. JOIN THE CLUB, PLEASE.

Marcos’ retirement meant that I got to see Jo and Tommy “Hasi” Haas on my TV. YAY. Both guys were playing well, and it must be noted that Tommy looked hotter than usual. He’s so entertaining. Tommy had a back rubdown during the match; hopefully it’s nothing serious. Last thing he needs is another injury right now.

In the end, Jo won in 4. And uh, Jim Courier took the load off and did Jo’s celebration for him. Cute.

Tomorrow, the Round of 16 starts. Only 16 men left now. Sad.

Australian Open: Day 4

Another day done and dusted. There were a couple of “upsets”. Well they’re not really upsets, but I’m upset about it. So, I’m going to get the bad things out of the way first.

FFS, Ferru. What I’m going to do with you? You where up 2 sets to none. Then you go all headcasey and lose in 5 to Baggy. I’m so pissed. I just want to slap some sense into the man. Yeah, yeah Baggy played great and his fans were annoying as hell. Whatevs.

Another of my faves that I want to slap some sense to, Ana. I’m really getting tired of this crap. The girl needs to get real and get a sport psychologist.  Her press conference was a total gem. The press conferences are not therapy sections, Ana.  I get that she’s still trying to be positive is not like she has to be all Dina like. I just think Ana is not being real with herself.  Until she does things won’t get better. Moving on.

Djokohones in full force.

Nole had a bit of a scare losing the first set to that other Swiss dude not named Fed or Stan. He played like crap that first set with tons of errors. By the 2nd he got his shit together and won rather easy. Good Boy.

Someone that also got his shit together, Nando. He cruised against Sergeyev. Thank Sven, he will probably have to play Kolya at some point and well the dude is looking really scary.

Pico won in 5 sets against Frenchie Llodra. I didn’t see the match since it seems all the matches I do want to see are put at the same time. I did want to show that they gave Pico a new ADIDAS kit. It’s not as bad as Nando because of the lack of a collar but the shorts are fug as hell.

Jo looks so adorable in this pic. That’s why I posted it. I’m not going to lie. He won rather easy against Dent. WTG Jo. Moving on to some WTA.

She looks so cute. Caro cruised in  to the 3rd round. She beat Goerges in straights. YAY, Sunshine!!

Now onto Caro’s BFF, bitch and eternal badass, Vika. She was amazing and handed out some baked products. She won in straights and bageled some Swiss chick in the 2nd set.

Heineken Open: The Day The Hotness Died

Today at the Heineken Open there was a hotness massacre. I’m really close to not caring about this tournament anymore. Let’s start.

The first victim was Juanqui. I think this was the worse of all. He didn’t even get to play a whole set.  At 3-1, he fell and sprained his right ankle and was forced to retire. Now he seems questionable for the AO. FU, Tennis Gods. There are no pics of this match, so I posted a pic of him with puppies, because it’s cute and it makes me happy. Let’s continue.

Another victim of the massacre, Ferru. Sigh. He lost  75 64 to frenchie Clement.  Again, there are no pics of this match. So I posted an old one. I imagine that Ferru totally looked like this during the match. Next.

Pico lost to Tree in 3 sets, 57 64 63. I’m amazed that none were TB sets. I like Tree but I wanted Pico to win. Whatevs. Again, there were no pics of this match, so I posted a pic of Pico and his eternally hard nipples.

There was also Thomaz. He lost to Kohls,  64 61. At least he won a match on hard-courts and he’s still in doubles.  There were also no pics of this match. So I posted a pic of  Thomaz celebrating  his first ATP title. Good times.

The only one that survived the hotness massacre was Tommy. He beat Greul in 2 TB sets, 76(1) 76(2). Also, this was the only match that had pictures. Well, out of the matches that I care for. There were a grand total of 2 pics and they where horrible. This was the best of the two.  All of the good photographers seem to be in Australia. Pffffff.

Heineken Open: Argentine Hotness Edition

The Hotness Open continues in Auckland, New Zealand. Today brought some Argentine flavor when compatriots Pico and Zeballos met in the first round. Pico was merciless- he won, 63 60. I wish they would give Pico new ADIDAS clothes, I’m so sick of the animal print on the back. But he still looks pretty. Moving along.

Also cute giant Tree won in 3 sets against Garcia-Lopez.  In shocking news: one of those sets finished in a TB. /sarcasm. The final score  was, 46 76(3) 62. In sad news: Newly turned doubles-specialist Jezza lost his first match against fellow frenchie Clement *sad face.* Also there are no freaking pics of that match, making me totally angry. Whatevs.
